How can we set up our patients to succeed?

I found myself asking this question the other day, when I had never contemplated it deeply before. How can we set up our patients to succeed in a healthcare system that is so complex and difficult to navigate? Almost everything is set up against the patient. Insurance companies use confusing language. Plans and deductibles are confusing. There’s no real way for the patient to win. There is always compromise. And when it comes to our health, the greatest investment of all, do we really want to be compromising?
